The Best Training in Town!
For Dog’s Sake YYC also provides an option for private one-on-one sessions in Calgary and Surrounding Areas. We will come to you and customize a training plan for you and your dog. You don’t need to have a behavioural problem to do in-home training if you want to brush up on basic training, or how to use a clicker.
Initial sessions are 90 minutes in length, with follow up sessions 60 minutes.
Private Training is also beneficial for issues that are not addressed in class, or maybe too serious making you unable to attend a class, some examples are:
Poor Impulse Control
Counter Surfing (Taking food from the counter)
Digging in the Backyard
Chewing on Inappropriate Items
Pulling on Leash
Poor or No Recall (Coming When Called)
Jumping on you or guests
Guarding Food, Objects or People
We also have package pricing available at a discounted rate! Please contact us for information
Remote Consultations and followup are available:
Initial Session – 90 minutes: $225.00
60 Minutes – $150.00
30 Minutes – $75.00
If you feel your dog's challenges don’t warrant a trainer to come to your house, you’re not in the For Dog’ Sake Training Services area, or you need a training refresher from a follow-up session or are in self-isolation due to our currently pandemic – A Remote Consultation Training session is the perfect option for you.
It will be necessary to fill out a Pre Training Questionnaire prior to your Remote consultation, this will help your trainer determine if a phone consult is the best route for you and your dog.
This option requires that you have a computer, Internet, and a webcam and download the free Zoom online meeting software. Topics that may be addressed in remote consultation are:
Basic manners instruction
Puppy preparation and acclimation
Pre- and post-adoption counselling
Counter surfing, jumping up, barking, and other common “nuisance” behaviours
Foundation skills for loose leash walking
Foundation skills for leash reactivity
Preparing your dog for a new baby
Remote consultation may also be an appropriate first step for cases in which the dog is aggressive to visitors. We can start you on some skills while your dog is relaxed and then apply them at our first in-person meeting
Don’t see your concern here? Contact me and we can discuss whether remote consultation makes sense.
Day Training – COMING SOON
In 2020 we will begin to offer day training to our clients. Our training will only be available on evenings and weekends at this time. Day Training is when the dog trainer does the actual work of training your dog – not you.
Day training may benefit you if you have a busy schedule and can not find time to train your own dog or practice the follow up from a private training session.
Let’s get started by Scheduling a Session through Acuity!
