About Me

Make the Dog House a Thing of the Past!

Karlee Ainslie is an industry-leading, certified professional dog trainer. Her sole mission is to empower dog owners that are struggling with their dog's unruly behaviour and allow them to have the life they deserve with their pups.

Using her incredible amount of knowledge and her deep understanding of dog behaviour, Karlee is able to solve the most problematic behaviours with a creative twist approach to dog training with a sense of humour.

She partners closely with dog owners to get results they thought were once impossible with careful attention to dogs' emotional and physical well-being. Karlee has helped hundreds of families reach their goal of keeping having a happy and healthy life with their dogs.

With over a decade of training experience and also being a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy, holding the title of being one of the original certified training partners (KPA-CTP) in Alberta.

Karlee is relentlessly dedicated to the craft of dog training. Karlee regularly invests in continued education by attending conferences, seminars, online classes, and workshops throughout the year.

When not training dogs, Karlee can be found caring for (and trying not to kill) her rare & exotic houseplants, getting lost in Kananaskis country with her three dogs and her partner, Anthony, or getting in way over her head in the kitchen, trying not to burn her dinner.

Our Philosophy

For Dog’s Sake YYC promotes and utilizes Positive Reinforcement Dog Training techniques, which is a humane training method that uses reward-based training to build a relationship of trust and respect between you and your dog. For Dog’s Sake YYC is focused on not only training your dog, but teaching you how to best communicate with your dog(s), without using fear, submission and intimidation.

Karlee regularly attends conferences and seminars across North America on Animal Behaviour to ensure she is delivering the most current information in this forever changing field.

Our goal is for you to have a happy, well-trained dog in all environments, not just within the home!
